Week of September 29th – From Jay!
I talked to Jay on the phone as he was making his drive home to Utah from Las Vegas, Nevada. He dictated to me the following message he wanted to share here on his blog this week. ~ Terri
I really had a great time in Vegas this weekend. The shows and the meet and greet were both really fun for me. What an honor to have fans/friends come from all over the world to be with us in Vegas for these dates! It was like a big party! It was so nice to see those of you who were able to be there – thanks so much for coming. Donny surprised us by showing up at the meet and greet. He was behind us for a few minutes, and the fans played along with him, before we even realized he was there. I loved his joke – referring to HUGE picture of Donny and Marie on the side of the Flamingo, where they are performing. Donny said he can’t get any sleep, and he’s figured it out – they put him in the room right behind Marie’s teeth! I laughed so hard at that one. We went to D&M’s show, and I thought it was hip and energetic. It is a high-powered show; the energy level is amazing and doesn’t let up for two hours. I was quite impressed! Sunday, I went to church at Marie’s Ward. That was really nice. It was a good trip, and now I’m on my way home. Thanks again to all of you who were there – I hope you had fun too.
Have a nice week everyone,
Jay
Week of 9-22-08
Last night, Jay finished naming all of the chapters for his book. That was a great accomplishment. He first layed out his life by years, then spent some time thinking about the things that affected him most in each of those years. This is quite an undertaking for Jay, but he is so determined to see it through. He’s also written a lot of notes for the various chapters, so we’re well on our way. We have an awesome idea for the book cover, which we’ll hopefully be taking care of late Fall.
Jay is also still doing his studies, currently taking an online course. So, he’s still spending a lot of time at the library.
I hope all of you have a great week,
Terri
Week of September 8th
Jay and Kandilyn had a nice time on the cruise, and Jay felt the shows they performed went well. They both appreciated the nice anniversary greetings all of you left for them here.
I asked him what he was up to this week, and he said, “Almost 6 feet if you count my hair.” YOU try to get a straight answer out of the guy! (ha) We’re getting their boys to give some input for Jay’s book too, and he had just read Jason’s contribution. It is so touching, just wait until you read it! Jay had just finished for the day at the library, and was on his daily walk home. A kind neighbor tried to stop and give him a ride, but Jay is really into getting a good walk in every day that he can.
By the way, thanks to those of you who have ordered Eric’s new CD – we hope you enjoy it.
Have a great week everyone,
Terri
Week of September 1st
Eric Osmond’s (E/C/O) CD is now available…and we’d love to hear what you think of it! It can be ordered through: http://www.jayosmond.com/osmerch
You can listen to clips from the CD at: http://www.jayosmond.com/ericosmond
Eric is so excited (and so is Jay!) for all of you to check out Multiverse Emotions Affect.
Jay and Kandilyn are cruising the high seas right now – luckily not near any of the hurricanes and tropical storms currently churning up the southern U.S. For those of you in the southern U.S. (life myself), hold good thoughts that we’ll all come out of these storms ok!
Until next week ~ Terri
