Week of October 27
Jay got back home late Friday from his trip to Ireland with brother Merrill. Saturday he went into the studio to be a part of a cartoon video with the Brunson Brothers. The Brunson Brothers are great guys in Utah, who have played with the Osmonds live, and have also recorded various Osmonds in their studios…and is where Jay’s Drummer Boy CD was recorded. The artwork for Eric’s CD (E/C/O/ Multiverse Emotion Affect) was also done at one of their studios, Rose Pedal Records. In fact, Rose Pedal Records is the studio that handled Jason’s CD, Walkins Lane. The Brunson Brothers have a Christmas CD coming out, and the video Jay is a part of has to do with their release. I’ll fill you in on more about it soon.
There have been some lovely things written about Eric’s music here, and please know those comments are appreciated. Jay wanted me to tell all of you that Eric is doing a video of his song, “Robot,” which he plans to put on YouTube. We’ll let you know when that is online.
Jay heads for Branson, Missouri tomorrow (no, there is never a dull moment in Jay’s world!). He’ll be getting ready for Christmas shows with brothers Wayne and Jimmy at the Branson Variety Theater (The Spirit of Christmas).
We’ve been scrambling to get “Little Drummer Boy” ready to go into production. It will hopefully be pressed this week…and I for one am so excited! I just know all of you are going to love this very special, limited edition, Christmas CD single from Jay!
Have a great week everyone,
Terri
Week of October 20th
Jay is making his way to Ireland today to be at some of brother Merrill’s show dates there. Jay loves Europe, and was looking forward to the visit. When the brothers performed in Cerritos, California recently, Jay met the parents of Elder Jason Osmond’s mission companion. Turns out they live very near the venue the brothers were performing at, so they attended the show and were able to meet Jay. He said they were great people. Jay returns from Ireland the end of this week, and we will spend the next week finalizing the Little Drummer Boy CD project before he makes his way to Branson, Missouri for the brothers’ Christmas shows at the Branson Variety Theater. We have a special new surprise that goes along with the CD that all of you are going to love. It has to do with the artwork on the CD…that is your only hint!
Have a nice week,
Terri
Week of October 13 – From Jay!
I’ve decided to make a trip to Ireland to catch brother Merrill in his Wexford shows this month. I’m a real supporter of Merrill’s solo projects, and I love his new CD. Who knows?…I might play a few songs on the drums from Merrill’s CD, and maybe even a drum solo. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces while I’m there – so, for those of you planning on attending the shows, I’ll see you there!

Week of October 6th
Last week we announced that Jay would be releasing his rendition of “Little Drummer Boy” on a CD single for this Holiday Season. The response has been heart-warmingly overwhelming, and I have to say – you won’t be disappointed! The recording is really coming together, and promises to be the most high-energy and unique version you’ve ever heard of “Little Drummer Boy.” Jay has been having fun with it, and is really touched by the excitement everyone is showing over this release. We’re trying to wrap the project up this month, and the goal is to make it available to all of you starting in November. It will be a limited edition release, so keep an eye on Jay’s website, and watch for my e-mail announcement when it is available.
Jay has also really been getting a lot of coursework done, and he can’t believe how good it feels. It has been a long road toward that degree of his, and with his entertainment career, the degree hasn’t been an easy goal to achieve. Life makes things take longer to complete than we sometimes would like, but when a goal is reached, the success is sweet. So, Jay keeps moving along with his courses, and he WILL get that degree!
Don’t forget, Eric has put his CD “E/C/O – Multiverse Emotions Affect,” on sale. You can check it out at: www.jayosmond.com/osmerch
Have a great week!
