Hello from Utah!
What a trip! In many ways, it reminded me of the 70s all over again.
Those last few days in Malaysia were quite interesting. We decided to do some tourist things like see a bat cave, visit the second largest building in the world, and even negotiate prices in a China Town.
My family had fun. The boys joined me for the Asia part of the tour, and Kandilyn was in the UK. I hope these memories will live on in our minds for a very long time.
We re-established some old relationships, and developed some new ones. The people in every country we visited were wonderful.
I know I have mentioned this before, but this reunion of the family on stage, was really a family reunion for all of our family and friends.
Thank you again for your interest in the 50th tour. We hope to put a documentary together soon with some of the crazy stuff that went on.
The 50th will wind up in Salt Lake City. There, we will be performing at the Conference Center with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. What a great blessing this will be to our family. We feel it will bring to close our family mission that we were set apart to do many years ago.
May God’s blessings be upon you all as you look back on your lives. I hope it has been full of great, and challenging situations. Without some adversity, it would be pretty boring.
I have read hundreds of letters from fans, and have listened to countless stories from the fans all over the world. We have all been through it together. That’s why I feel like so many of you are like family.
My son Jason wrote me a letter, and reminded me about the last words from my father’s mouth before he lost his speech. I asked him, “What one thing would you hope for, now that you are close to leaving us here on earth?” He said, “Jay, my hope would be to endure well to the end.” This he did! I just hope I can do the same!
Thank you for being a part of my life, and my family’s lives. You have added a great dimension to our experiences as a family, and to me as a person. I just am so humbled to think that we were a small part of your lives!
Remember, we are all children of God. It doesn’t matter if you are an entertainer, plumber, housewife, or teacher. He is no respecter of persons. We all are loved equally by HIM!

PS. This entry will end the current format of my blog. I will be working hard for the next few months on a book about my life. My wife Kandilyn, will be my co-author, and Terri Shoemaker, will be the coordinator and editor.
Thanks for all your input and interest in my blog!
I hope you will enjoy the book (both in word and audio formats).
I love you all!
Jay

We finally made it here. It was pretty crazy with the travel and all, but what a wonderful country. Manila was quite an experience. Our equipment for the show didn’t arrive until about an hour before the show started! Of course we started late, and some of the people were upset (including a few customs people who were responsible for the delays). It took a call from the President’s office to get it all over to the theater! Anyway, we pieced the show together and the people seemed to love it. They were a great audience!
The boys and I are enjoying our time together. I hope this will be a trip they will always remember.
Please keep those letters, treats, and appointments going for Elder Jason Osmond. I can’t tell you how much it means to me and Kandi, and especially Jason.
We have one more week and then we are home. Being out here gives us a new perspective on things, and confirms to me that people are all alike. It doesn’t matter what ethnic background you come from, or the language you speak. People are people. We all live on this planet that God is watching over. What a wonderful PLACE!
May God continue to be with you in all you do and say!
He truly answers prayers!
Sincerely, Jay

Hello from Taiwan!
This is beautiful country, and the people have been so receptive! Our wonderful fans in this region and Japan, have flown many miles to see us. We surely are blessed.
My two sons Eric and Marcus came to see me yesterday. They flew in with Donny’s family, Debbie, Josh and Christopher. They had a good flight, and have been preparing for a week adjusting to the time change so they didn’t have jet lag when they got here.
The only problem they had is that the airlines lost their bags, however, they are handling it well.
We are going on a sight seeing trip today, so that should be fun.
Jason is doing so great! He already has baptisms lined up! Thank you to all those who have written him, and have sent him goodies. I promise you, that anyone who is good to the missionaries, will be blessed! I saw so many miracles happen to familes in Missouri when I was the ward missionary leader in the ward there.
Also, thank you so much to those who have treated my wife Kandilyn so well. You have made her feel so comfortable an accepted!
Have a great week!
Love, Jay

As I look back to last August, when my brothers, sister and I kicked-off our 50th Anniversary Celebration at The Orleans in Las Vegas, Nevada, it is really exciting to see this all continue. We leave tomorrow to expand the celebration with our world tour. The last time we all toured together was back in 1980 to Asia. Now, I’m older, I have my wife and sons, and I expect I’ll be experiencing this through a different perspective than before. I plan to make sure I take it all in, and enjoy the adventure! I’ll do my best to keep in touch through my blog whenever I can during this tour, and look forward to seeing those of you who are able to make it to the shows.

On another note, Kandilyn and I have heard from Jason, and he is doing great in the Tennessee mission field. He has the perfect attitude for serving this mission, and I know he’ll continue to do great. He mentioned again how much he’s enjoyed all the cards, letters, e-mails and packages. Thank you!

I’ll be in touch!

I wanted to give all of you an update on Jason, because I hear so many of you have been sending him nice e-mails. I thank you, and so does Jason – he loves hearing from everyone. He finished at the MTC on my mother’s birthday, and left for the Tennessee Nashville Mission today. A lot of you have been asking if you can send “care packages” to Jason, and I know that he would love that! He loves cookies, treats, letters, cards…you can send to him at: Tennessee Nashville Mission (Attn: Elder Jason George Osmond), 105 Westpark Drive., Brentwood, TN 37027. A tip…it is best to send his packages to the Mission Office through the postal service, and they’ll forward them to his actual apartment. Otherwise, he may get transfered to another location and the package will miss him. If it’s been sent through the postal service, it can be forwarded. If it is sent to his apartment directly and he’s been moved, they have to wait until another missionary goes out to that location to give it to him – which could end up taking awhile!

If you’re close to that area, please feel free to invite him over for dinner! He loves to eat – HA!

We really been working hard getting ready for the tour – it is going to be fun!
